DESCRIPTION:
Iconic batch of 6 caricatures by the great cartoonist and illustrator Franco Bruna
These articles come from the printing house that at the time (1974) was in charge of printing
attachments for the Turin daily newspaper Stampa Sera
They are all print tests, made with different types of paper/cardboard that have never been folded to be inserted into newspapers.
The conditions of all the prints are good, in some cases excellent
Clearly, being 51-year-old paper items, they have suffered both from the passage of time and from some imperfections due to careless handling.
Bettega's caricature is the most affected in this sense.
For this reason, Antonello Cuccureddu's work has been added as a tribute.
Scirea's caricature is a double-sided print with Cuccureddu's caricature on the back

Franco Bruna was an Italian cartoonist and illustrator
He worked for over forty years as a cartoonist for the daily newspaper La Stampa, starting in 1971, when he created a caricature of the Fight of the Century between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier. He also produced numerous drawings (ranging from political satire to sports caricatures and comics) for other major publications, including Corriere della Sera, La Gazzetta dello Sport, Panorama, L'Espresso, Airone, Ciak, Corriere dei ragazzi, Topolino and Zio Paperone.
He also tried his hand at painting with merit, exhibiting his creations in various exhibitions.
